With a focus on service-industry education, ITE College West strongly promotes hands-on experiential learning which includes functioning restaurants, shops, a hotel, and a convention centre for training the students. In addition, the campus also boasts state of the art educational facilities like a wine cellar; a 700-seat auditorium; centre for music and the arts as well as a sports village equipped with an Olympic sized swimming pool, gymnasium, and running track.

The acoustically engineered roof for the auditorium made use of ThermalRock S80 together with 12mm VIVA cement board to achieve an STC 51 acoustic system. Its acoustic performance was further enhanced by insulating the HVAC's internal
duct lining with ThermalRock S60.

A number of innovative features were incorporated into the design of the campus, bringing about a significant reduction in energy consumption of more than 30%. This achievement was instrumental in the project being awarded Platinum status in the Singapore Government's Green Mark environmental rating scheme. The use of ROXUL Bradflex flexible ducts was one of the elements that contributed towards energy savings. Due to its excellent thermal properties paired with the duct's smooth interior, presents low air resistance creating a pleasant and stable indoor temperature throughout the day.

Financed through a public-private partnership (PPP), ITE College West is the first social infrastructure PPP undertaking in Singapore, and amongst the first in Asia, serving as an investment experiment for development in the education sector
